I have been involved for many years in international education having taught in Turkey, the UAE, China and Moscow. The most important role I have had is being a teacher in direct contact with the students in the classroom. While teaching I have also been a head of department, a deputy head, a head of school, a designer and builder of a school and even the person to go to the local wholesale market and buy the weekly shop for the school canteen. The last role was only done in an emergency.
