Tallinn European School is taking part in different educational projects in connection with other schools and organisations in Estonia and abroad.
Since the school year 2018/2019, Tallinn European School is involved in a 3-year collaborative project with European School of Helsinki and European School Copenhagen. “We can make a change” focuses on raising the quality of teaching and learning by incorporating problem-based learning while also strengthening and developing cooperation between the Nordic European Schools.
During the 2021/2022 academic year, all classes from Nursery 2 up to Secondary 4 will go on field trips to nature study centres. The field trips are financed with a grant from the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre (KIK) as part of the Environmental Awareness Programme.
Where mathematical curiosity meets real-world challenges
Organised by Tallinn European School, the Applied Mathematics Seminar gives students the opportunity to investigate a topic in applied mathematics, prepare a scientific research paper and defend their work before a jury.
Each participant has 60 minutes to present their research, followed by 20 minutes of questions from the jury and audience. The working language of the seminar is English.
Students achieving a jury score of 8.5/10 or higher receive a Special Award Distinction diploma, while those scoring between 7.0 and 8.4 receive a certificate.
The seminar is designed to support students in preparing for future university studies, developing academic confidence and gaining valuable experience in scientific research and public speaking.
