TES Eco-school

TES is an Eco-school
As an Eco-school, we have an Eco-Committee made up of students from P5 to S6 which aims to make TES a more sustainable school. As this is a student-led project, the students oversee taking initiative and leading the activities in school with the support of Kenty Dubois (Eco-school coordinator, Humanities teacher) and Karel Pajus (Ethics and Philosophy teacher).
The Eco-Committee follows the 7 steps of the Eco-school
We work on the following topics: waste reduction, food waste, and climate change. More concretely, we aim to reduce the amount of waste produced by our community within school and at home, as well as raise awareness about climate change.
Our activities can be connected to curriculum teaching as well as with the broader life of the school (TES events, canteen, recess, hallways, trips).
The following students are involved in the Eco-Committee:
Theo Ferreira Shimabucuro, Mialeene Jahnke, Sara Amelie Kaminen, Isabell Kraus, Victoria Kraus, Amir Mussagalee, Tehilah Onochie, Valeria Schich, Säde Sepp, Liepa Šinkūnaite, Saskia Unt, Cedric-Lingzing Visús Chan, Nora Vosman, Hunter Zehmke, Hridansh Kohli & Aarav Bhagat.
